Assistant General Counsel (Regional Counsel)

Responsibilities

• Provides legal counsel to support business objectives and mitigate risk
• Communicates with stakeholders and leadership in clear verbal and written forms
• Maintains awareness of changes in laws and regulations, advising leadership accordingly
• Collaborates across the company and Chief Legal Office to mitigate risk
• Works with outside counsel to complete legal assignments
• Affords assistance to senior attorneys on highly complex matters as needed
• Escalates significant risk matters to senior attorneys
• Serves as a resource and mentor to less experienced team members

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school required
• Must be licensed to practice law in one state or territory of the USA
• 6 years of relevant experience, with at least 4 years as a practicing attorney
• Ability to effectively communicate legal advice to business partners

Pay

$143,320 – $273,930 annually
