Assistant General Counsel

We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. This Assistant General Counsel position supports the firm’s legal needs, with opportunities for remote or hybrid work.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal guidance to firm professionals concerning client matters, including disputes, compliance, and licensing issues.
• Advising partners and employees on contract preparation, including client engagement letters, master services agreements, and other agreements.
• Manage subpoena compliance and other court-related matters.
• Review and provide legal guidance on new leases, renewals, and other real estate documents.
• Protect the firm’s intellectual property, including advising on IP protection and enforcement, and coordinating with outside counsel.
• Investigate and handle employment-related legal issues.
• Manage contracts/legal team to ensure timely resolution of requests and KPIs/goals.
• Handle other projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree with 5-8 years of relevant experience as a practicing attorney.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Experience drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and advising on a variety of contracts.
• Strong legal research experience in various practice areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to provide excellent and prompt service to firm stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to communicate complex legal issues to non-legal stakeholders.
• Interest in a long-term role within a growing legal department.
• Litigation experience required.
• Professional liability defense experience preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be in good standing with the Bar of at least one U.S. state.
• Strong emphasis on quality work-life integration.
• Competitive salary range: $153,000 to $206,000 depending on experience.

Pay

$153,000 to $206,000 depending on experience.
