Assistant General Counsel

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a healthcare environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted adviser on corporate governance and legal matters
• Lead preparation and organization of Board and Committee materials
• Manage corporate records and approval processes for governance matters
• Advise on corporate financing, transaction documentation, and approvals
• Support corporate transactions from due diligence to post-closing
• Oversee complex commercial transactions and relationships with partners
• Assist with ESG-related legal and disclosure matters

Qualifications

• J.D. required, with state bar admission in good standing
• 7+ years of legal experience in corporate governance and transactions
• Law firm and/or in-house experience preferred
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Effective communicator across all business levels, including senior management
• Ability to adapt to diverse legal concerns in a fast-paced environment
• Collaborative team player with a high-integrity approach to problem solving
• Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing complex legal processes under deadlines

Pay

$150,000 – $214,000 annually
