About the role

Imagine360 is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to assist the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel in implementing corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives. This role provides legal support internally to various departments and externally to clients, offering legal advice and operational support on company initiatives, managing the legal function, and overseeing outside counsel on designated projects.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in the definition, development, and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and programs, providing continuing counsel and guidance on legal matters and implications.
  • Assists in researching and providing legal advice regarding group health plan-related issues and compliance matters impacting Imagine360 departments (Claims, Eligibility, Stop Loss, Client Services, Member Experience) as well as clients and brokers.
  • Researches and advises the company on a broad range of regulatory and compliance matters related to the delivery of services by Imagine360.
  • Assists in identifying, remediating, and mitigating potential legal problems within the organization and developing strategies to reduce risk.
  • Meets with clients, brokers, and business partners to provide business or legal advice related to company direction.
  • Prepares, reviews, and negotiates company contracts, requests for proposals, other legal documents, and policies/procedures as needed.
  • Reviews vendor, ancillary, facility, and physician contracts and responds to questions from clients, brokers, and business partners.
  • Assists in gathering discovery and other evidence to support the litigation function.
  • Provides general legal research on various matters for Imagine360 and affiliated companies.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Juris Doctorate degree required.
  • Must have a license to practice law in good standing (PA, TX, UT, or MT preferred).
  • A minimum of four (4) years of legal experience, preferably in regulatory/compliance, healthcare, insurance, governmental agency, or corporate settings.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with healthcare laws, regulations, and statutes (e.g., ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, FCRA, FDCPA, etc.).

  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated "self-starter" behavior with a willingness to help others and a positive attitude.
  • Working knowledge of computer software, including Salesforce, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office products.
  • Legal research and statute tracking/monitoring.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong written, oral communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize workloads, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
