Assistant General Counsel

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced General Counsel to support an advanced AI training initiative focused on commercial contracts and legal documentation. In this remote contract role, you will leverage your legal expertise to develop contract playbooks, review agreements, and provide practical legal insights that help improve next-generation AI systems. Prior AI experience is not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance contract negotiation playbooks.
• Draft, review, and analyze commercial agreements.
• Provide legal guidance on contract negotiation and risk management.
• Review and improve contract templates and documentation.
• Supply eligible non-confidential legal materials for AI training.
• Collaborate with legal and project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a General Counsel, Corporate Counsel, or similar in-house legal role.
• Strong expertise in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and contract management.
• Experience developing contract playbooks and legal templates.
• Excellent legal writing, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Understanding of confidentiality, compliance, and legal risk management.
