About the role
The Gas Pipe Assistant position at Dave Jones involves assisting in the code compliant installation of gas systems on commercial new construction sites. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with installation of gas systems using copper, steel, and flexible piping in compliance with codes
- Reading and interpreting blueprints or layout basic designs as needed
- Cutting and coring openings for piping using hand and power tools
- Supporting testing of systems to ensure leak-free and code-compliant installations
- Calculating BTU loads and sizing pipe layouts
- Installing piping, fittings, valves, regulators, and gas appliances
Requirements
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Qualifications

Pay
Starting wage is $20 - $25 dollars per hour, dependent on experience.
Schedule
Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.
