Assistant Frozen Dairy Department Manager

About the role

Assistant Department Manager assists the Frozen & Dairy Department Manager with ensuring the successful operation of the department.

• Accurate recordkeeping
• Customer service
• Employee relations
• Expense control
• Inventory management and shrink reduction
• Public relations
• Stocking and controlling freshness by rotating and removing out‑of‑date merchandise
• Front‑end support: operating the register, bagging, and carrying groceries
• Directing staff when in charge of the department, including workload direction, counseling, training, performance evaluations, and supervision
