About the role
The Assistant Food Service Manager role at Aramark Nexus involves supporting daily food service operations, residential dining, cafeteria service, front-of-house dining, prepared food service, and team leadership. This is a full-time position located at Caprock, a new hospitality and residential workforce community outside Pampa, Texas.
Responsibilities
- Support daily food service operations
- Partner with the Food Service Director to lead team members
- Support service standards, maintain food safety and sanitation expectations
- Manage front-of-house execution
- Ensure meals are prepared and served with consistency, quality, and care
- Oversee the dining experience for residents living and working on site
- Help lead dining operations in a growing, high-volume hospitality environment
- Work in a fast-paced dining operation, coaching hourly team members
- Solve operational issues and maintain a strong customer service culture
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a management role
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service skills using Aramark's standard service model
- Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Food Service Supervisor, Dining Manager, Cafeteria Manager, Restaurant Manager, Food and Beverage Supervisor, Hospitality Manager, or Assistant Dining Services Manager
- Comfortable working in an on-site residential community environment
- Experience in restaurants, cafeterias, senior living dining, campus dining, healthcare food service, corporate dining, hotel food and beverage, or high-volume hospitality operations
