Primary Responsibilities
- Partner with the Food & Beverage Director to direct and coordinate food and beverage activities.
- Maintain established operational standards and effectively lead the team.
- Maximize profits and ensure compliance with national programs such as Core Beverage Program, Menu Program, Approved Product List, and Beverage Cartender program.
- Select, develop, and retain talented food and beverage staff.
- Ensure financial targets are met and appropriate accounting procedures are followed.
- Ensure food and beverage staff provide excellent guest service.
- Review guest and member surveys and feedback and determine appropriate action.
- Aid in the creation and execution of short-term and long-term operational and financial plans for the food and beverage department.
- Maintain constant communication between departments and inform other departments about special programs and events.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a food and beverage leadership role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, planning, and organizational skills.
- Experience supervising others and leading a team.
- Excellent customer skills.
Working Conditions
- Will often be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical/Cognitive Activities: Significant time spent speaking, walking, standing, and listening. Uses communication skills significantly when interacting with guests or staff members and when giving instructions. Requires reasoning and thinking skills when reviewing budgets, revenues, inventories, and requisitions. Utilizes problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities when overseeing subordinates. Uses mathematical skills such as profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances often.
