About the role
The Food and Beverage Operations Manager at Aqua Ridge Pool Complex is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the food and beverage services, ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, and adhering to operating budgets and legal obligations.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the ordering of F&B supplies, cleaning supplies, and uniforms.
- Supervises daily F&B shift operations and ensures compliance with all policies, standards, and procedures.
- Supports and supervises an effective monthly self-inspection program.
- Operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunctions.
- Supervises staffing levels to meet guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
- Communicates areas needing attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding.
- Celebrates and fosters successful decisions and addresses failures.
- Coordinates cleaning programs in all F&B areas, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements.
- Follows property-specific second effort and recovery plans.
- Stays readily available and approachable for all team members.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the brand-specific service culture.
- Provides services that exceed customer expectations and retain customers.
- Serves as a role model for appropriate behaviors.
- Manages day-to-day operations to meet customer quality, standards, and expectations.
- Takes proactive approaches to address guest concerns.
- Stays readily available and approachable for all guests.
- Reviews and discusses comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.
- Responds promptly to customer service department requests.
- Provides information to supervisors and co-workers by telephone, in writing, email, or in person.
- Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solutions and solve problems.
- Performs hourly job functions if necessary.
- Extends professionalism and courtesy to team members at all times.
- Comprehends budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports.
Requirements
Education and Experience: - High school diploma or GED; 3 years experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. - OR - 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 1 year experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area.
