Assistant Floating Dry Dock Master

About the role

The Assistant Floating Dry Dock Master oversees the operations and maintenance of floating dry docks used for ship repair and maintenance. This position requires strong leadership skills, knowledge of marine engineering, and experience managing dock operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of floating dry docks
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
• Manage the crew and ensure efficient workflow
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless ship repair processes
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures
• Perform inspections and troubleshoot issues related to the dry docks

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in floating dry dock operations
• Experience with marine vessel repair and maintenance
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of marine engineering principles and practices
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with project management software
