Key Responsibilities
- Prepare projects for editors and producers, including pulling, transcoding, syncing, logging, and assembling footage
- Manage media, organize assets, and prepare deliverables for broadcast and web
- Perform music searches and edits
- Clip and transcode web-based content
- Slate and master commercials for broadcast and social media platforms
- Set up and support remote, live editing sessions with producers and creative directors via Louper
- Prepare transcriptions from online clips and direct-to-camera interviews
- Execute finishing tasks, including: - Applying color and audio mixes
- Ensuring deliverables meet technical specifications
- Verifying script and spot accuracy
- Sourcing stock footage
- Exporting final and archival versions
- Post review files for client feedback
- Aid editors with day-to-day tasks as needed
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of assistant editing experience and a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
- Strong understanding of video codecs, formats, and transcoding workflows
- Experience with multiple camera formats and post-production pipelines
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition
- Excellent media management and organizational skills across multiple projects
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tight deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Resourceful, solution-oriented mindset with strong troubleshooting ability
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve
- Music editing and sound design experience
- Motion graphics and VFX skills
- Passion for storytelling and media creation

- A salary range of $45,000 to $50,000 depending on experience, through November 2026
