About the role

NAPCO Media, a subsidiary of PRINTING United Alliance, is a fast-paced B2B media organization serving the printing, retail, and nonprofit industries. We specialize in the creation and cross-channel distribution of exceptional content on print and digital platforms such as newsletters, magazines, podcasts, social media, and events. Our mission is to build community between the audiences and clients we serve.

The position requires a dynamic, detail-oriented person who can multitask, with strong organizational, writing, and editorial skills. The candidate should be tech and social media savvy, a quick learner, energetic, and able to work both independently and with a team. Occasional business travel may be required. The role is writing-intensive, so a strong grasp of spelling and grammar is necessary. Knowledge of AP style is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly report, write, and post online news and analysis in various formats, including blog posts, articles, videos, and research reports.
  • Manage content production and distribution through newsletters and social media.
  • Network with industry leaders through social media and at industry events to build long-term relationships.
  • Assist with client-facing special projects as needed.
  • Serve as a key staff member during event staging, performing editorial and additional duties as required.
  • Represent the brand professionally in meetings, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Travel as needed to industry events to research, build industry knowledge, and foster connections with potential authors and sources.

Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of writing, editing, or journalism experience.
  • Excellent writing, reporting, interviewing, and editing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Critical thinking skills to identify newsworthy material.
  • Ability to analyze macro and micro business and technology trends.
  • Excellent written and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and highly professional demeanor.
  • Enthusiastic attitude toward creating new content, driving readership, and collaborating with a team of editors.
  • Ability to generate and develop topic ideas for a variety of media formats.
  • Ability to understand and utilize analytics for content development.
  • Strong interest in developing public speaking competency to moderate panels and conduct interviews for virtual and live events, webinars, videos, and podcasts.
  • Understanding of digital media and marketing trends (video, audio, social media, web technology, data) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AP style.
  • Experience with Adobe InCopy, social media platforms, SEO, CMS, and newsletter deployment preferred.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable using and working with various AI platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Writing, or a related field.
