Assistant Financial Center Manager

About the role

We are a dynamic regional community bank dedicated to customer focus and empowerment. Our Assistant Financial Center Managers (AFCMs) play a crucial role in guiding customers through various financial stages and building strong relationships with small businesses, corporate partners, and financial advisors.

Responsibilities

• Aid the Financial Center Manager in managing and training staff to ensure branch coverage and foster a positive team environment.
• Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of all retail roles, overseeing staff performance and compliance with branch processes and procedures.
• Manage personal and team goals through in-person and outbound calling activities, sharing valuable solutions and recommendations based on customer needs.
• Build and nurture small business banking relationships through outside sales efforts, ensuring client satisfaction and growth.
• Conduct regular branch audits, including cash audits, compliance documentation audits, and clerical and supervisory reporting as needed.
• Ensure all departmental activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completing required compliance training.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, along with a bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Previous retail supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• Must be registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) or obtain an NMLS license post-hire.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage and lead a sales process while delivering excellent customer service.
• Positive leadership skills to guide a team through the evolving banking environment.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities in one-on-one and group settings.
• Strong understanding of banking products and services, including consumer loans and small business banking.
• Proficiency in MS Office programs and familiarity with social media platforms.
