Assistant Finance Director

The Village of Lake Zurich, Illinois is located in southwestern Lake County approximately 37 miles from downtown Chicago. Lake Zurich is a full service community with many residential neighborhoods, restaurants and shopping opportunities, great schools and recreation make it an ideal community to live.

About the role

• Supports the mission and values of the Village of Lake Zurich.
• Works collaboratively with other departments to achieve organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the planning and execution of community events.
• Maintains and updates the Village’s social media accounts.
• Coordinates with vendors and contractors for event setup and cleanup.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in event planning or marketing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with social media platforms.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
