About the role
Bessemer Trust is actively recruiting for an Assistant Facilities Manager to lead and manage regional facilities projects while ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our office facilities. This role is based in our New York City Headquarters and reports to the Director of Corporate Real Estate.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of construction, renovation, and relocation projects across regional office locations
- Oversee external partners including architects, engineers, general contractors, consultants to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and quality standards
- Review, manage and track construction documents, permitting processes and site inspections to ensure regulatory compliance and project readiness
- Monitor and report on project timelines, budgets, risks, and key deliverables
- Act as the primary liaison between Facilities and internal departments (IT, Security, Office Services, Marketing, local Office Managers, etc.) to support workplace experience initiatives
- Serve as main contact on day-to-day facilities operations to property managers, landlords, office managers, ensuring safe, secure, clean and well-maintained environments in our regional offices
- Maintain records and documentation related to building systems, vendor certifications, inspections, and regulatory compliance for our regional offices
- Travel regionally as needed
Qualifications
- 7+ years in facilities or project management, preferably in a multi-site or regional capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
- Experience with physical security systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, problem-solving, adaptability and collaboration
- Familiarity with ORACLE, AutoCAD or Bluebeam Revu a plus
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. In addition, this position may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, and other compensation programs as applicable.
