About the role

Manage inventory and logistics for a manufacturing operation, ensuring adequate stock levels of raw materials and supplies to support uninterrupted production.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adequate stock levels of all raw materials, including cement, sand, aggregates, admixtures, fuel, lubricants, and spare parts, in line with operational requirements.
  • Track daily material receipts, issues, and consumption, and ensure timely and accurate updating of inventory records.
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts, reconcile actual inventory against system and book balances, and promptly investigate, report, and resolve any discrepancies to ensure accurate and accountable inventory control.
  • Receive and verify all incoming materials against approved Purchase Orders (PO), Delivery Challans, and other relevant documents, ensuring accuracy in quantity and specifications.
  • Coordinate closely with the Quality Control team to ensure timely testing, inspection, and quality verification of all incoming materials prior to acceptance.
  • Conduct thorough checks for damage, deterioration, shortages, and non-conformities, and promptly report any discrepancies to the concerned authority for appropriate corrective action.
  • Prepare accurate and timely Goods Received Notes (GRN) for all accepted materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Issue materials against approved requisitions and maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date records of all material movements.
  • Ensure proper filing and preservation of inventory records, GRNs, requisitions, issue notes, stock reports, and other supporting documents for audit, compliance, and management review.
  • Maintain close coordination with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Department to monitor stock levels, identify replenishment requirements, and ensure timely procurement of materials and spare parts.
  • Ensure the storeroom remains clean, organized, secure, and systematically arranged.
  • Prepare and submit accurate daily stock, consumption, receipt, issuance, and inventory status reports to Management within the stipulated timeframe.
  • Proactively monitor critical stock items and communicate potential shortages or supply risks to the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted plant and operational activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
