Assistant Executive Chef - Durango

About the Role

This role is critical for Durango Casino & Resort to succeed as an approachable, luxury destination offering best-in-class hospitality and exciting amenities. As the Assistant Executive Chef, you will be empowered to create memorable experiences for our guests and lead your team to excellence.

Responsibilities

• Constantly provide support and maintain materials (MSDS, Recipe Book, Guidelines, etc.) and supplies to ensure Team Members have the proper tools for best-in-class service.
• Set schedules and specific job duties while maintaining Team Members’ hours for proper staffing as defined by established service standards.
• Coach and counsel Team Members who are not meeting standards, understanding the steps of discipline according to Station Casinos’ Policies.
• Participate in the creation of annual budgets and manage the unit in forecasting and cost controls to meet or exceed financial goals.
• Enable and empower your team, own your operation or shift, and build caring and trusting relationships with your people.
• Engage and communicate with your team, elevate performance through coaching, develop talent, and champion collaboration within and across the business.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight (8) years of food and beverage/Culinary experience in related fields.
• Comprehensive food, wine, and beverage knowledge preferred.
• Minimum six (6) years in varied high-volume and fine dining environments with P&L responsibilities preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and abilities that enhance and exemplify a best-in-class culture.
• Ability to obtain a Health Card.
