Responsibilities
- Aid in researching and targeting potential clients through conferences, hotels, and DMCs.
- Create and detail proposal presentations and RFP responses.
- Attend networking events in a sales capacity.
- Coordinate event details with the sales team after signing the contract.
- Work with various event vendors, including florists, rental companies, security, and parking services.
- Collaborate with venue operations teams for event preparations.
- Participate in walk-throughs with the sales team to finalize event specifics.
- Support continuous upselling of clients and events during the relationship.
- Assist with on-site coordination during the event to ensure timely execution and maintain client communication.
- Provide event summaries and operational, sales, and production suggestions to the team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 2-3 years of experience in sales management or marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- College degree preferred.
- Fluent in English, with other languages a plus.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to drive sales.
- Savvy in marketing and promotional strategies.
- An outgoing personality, adept at engaging with all individuals.
- Reliable and capable of securing and managing confidential information.
- Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Collaborative nature, working well with General Managers, Kitchen Managers, and banquet staff.
- Basic mathematical skills, including proficiency in basic arithmetic.
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and organizational skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to travel to workshops, trade shows, conventions, etc.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must be available to work weekends and late nights, along with daytime office hours.
