Assistant Equestrian Instructor/Stable Technician

Oldfield Club, located in Okatie, SC, is seeking a driven individual for a full-time Assistant Equestrian Instructor/Stable Technician role within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

• Provides daily routine care of horses and other barn animals.
• Performs light pasture and arena maintenance.
• Administers light veterinary care.
• Assists with programming, including shows, clinics, and summer camps.
• Instructs lower-level English riding lessons for beginner riders as young as 6 years old through cantering.
• Provides educational and family-oriented experiences for members of the community through instruction in horseback riding and other recreational activities offered by the Equestrian Center.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• A valid U.S.-issued driver’s license.
• Fluent in English.
• Minimum of three years of horse husbandry experience.
• Must pass a background check.

Working Conditions

• Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

Pay

$19.00 per hour

Schedule

Four 10-hour shifts per week, with three consecutive days off.
