About the role
Join our Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services team as an Assistant Education Director. You will work with dedicated professionals passionate about helping individuals in need. Your responsibilities include assisting the Education Director in maintaining educational and vocational development of students and teacher professional development.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe learning environment for all students
- Support the daily operations of the school
- Interview applicants for open positions
- Provide professional development to teachers and other staff
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Related Field required
- PDE K-12 principal and/or supervisor of special education certificate OR PDE administrative certification OR enrollment in supervisory certification program required
- Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications, experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position)
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Able to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines
