Assistant District Engineer, Program Delivery

About the role
This position will manage and provide engineering leadership for the operations of District 6, including design, hydraulics, project management, consultant agreements, major projects, materials, and planning. As a member of the District Management Team, manage and integrate the District’s resources. The role involves managing the SE Minnesota Area Transportation Improvement Program and chairing the SE Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership. This position has full managerial authority and accountability for human and fiscal resources and other resources needed to deliver these aspects of the program delivery area in a manner that addresses customer needs.
As a member of the Pre-Construction Management Group (PCMG), you will provide leadership, management, and direction to State and District Program Delivery Sections so that programs can be accomplished and constituent needs met.
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide engineering leadership for District 6 operations, including design, hydraulics, project management, consultant agreements, major projects, materials, and planning.
- Integrate the District’s resources as a member of the District Management Team.
- Manage the SE Minnesota Area Transportation Improvement Program.
- Chair the SE Minnesota Area Transportation Partnership.
- Oversee human, fiscal, and other resources to deliver program aspects addressing customer needs.
- Provide leadership, management, and direction to State and District Program Delivery Sections within the Pre-Construction Management Group (PCMG).
Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant experience.
- Background in Civil Engineering.
