Assistant District Engineer, Operations
About the role
The position will manage and provide engineering leadership to Maintenance and Construction Operations in the following areas:
- Snow and Ice Removal Operations
- Pavement Repair
- Drainage Maintenance
- Traffic Safety Device Maintenance
- Landscape/Roadside Maintenance
- Equipment Coordination
- Utilization, Purchasing and Maintenance
- Traffic Maintenance Services
- Roadway Regulations
- Facilities Maintenance
- Contract Construction Administration
- Preservation and Reconditioning Project Contract Preparation.
Responsibilities
As a member of the Operations Management Group (OMG) and Construction Management Group (CMG), this position will provide leadership, management, and direction to State and District Maintenance and Construction Sections so that programs can be accomplished and constituent needs met.
Requirements
Full managerial authority and accountability for human and fiscal resources and other resources needed to deliver these aspects of the operations program area in a manner that addresses customer needs.
Qualifications
5 - 10 years of experience in civil engineering.
Skills
Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
