About the role

The Douglas Judicial Circuit is seeking Assistant District Attorneys who are looking to grow their careers and make a difference in their communities. The office is located in Douglasville, GA, near downtown Atlanta, with convenient access to amenities and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Review felony case files from law enforcement
• Direct and lead further investigation
• Evaluate and charge cases
• Negotiate plea recommendations
• Conduct jury trials
• Carry a trial line case load
• Assist other team members by providing guidance on their case loads
• Collaborate with investigators and victim witness advocates

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 3-5 years of prosecution experience
• All applicants must be a member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or be eligible for reciprocity admittance to the State Bar of Georgia
• Must be eligible or admitted to practice before the Georgia Supreme Court and Court of Appeals
