Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the VN program, with emphasis on evening and weekend cohorts
- Aid in managing faculty schedules, course planning, and instructional resource allocation
- Ensure timely completion of grading, evaluations, and required reporting
- Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate instructional faculty
- Provide coaching and performance feedback to ensure instructional excellence
- Promote active learning strategies and effective use of ATI resources
- Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies to support retention and completion
- Provide feedback during weekend clinicals on student progress and learning environment
- Ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations and accreditation standards
- Coordinate clinical placements and maintain strong relationships with clinical partners
- Manage program data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain clear communication with clinical sites to ensure all student requirements are met
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Education: Bachelor's degree from a BVNPT-approved school required; Master's degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse; at least one (1) year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program (VN or RN), within the last five (5) years; or three (3) years in nursing administration or education within the last five (5) years
- Professional Preparation: Coursework in administration, teaching, and curriculum development from an approved school
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with evening, weekend, or non-traditional student populations; experience managing faculty schedules across multiple cohorts or shifts; experience with ATI or similar nursing education platforms
Compensation
This role offers a competitive salary range of $110,000-$125,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on education, experience, and internal equity considerations, including leadership experience in accredited nursing programs.
