Assistant Director, Vocational Nursing (Evenings/Weekends)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the VN program, with emphasis on evening and weekend cohorts
  • Aid in managing faculty schedules, course planning, and instructional resource allocation
  • Ensure timely completion of grading, evaluations, and required reporting
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate instructional faculty
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to ensure instructional excellence
  • Promote active learning strategies and effective use of ATI resources
  • Maintain clear communication with clinical sites to ensure all student requirements are met
  • Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies to support retention and completion
  • Provide feedback during weekend clinicals on student progress and learning environment
  • Ensure compliance with BVNPT regulations and accreditation standards
  • Coordinate clinical placements and maintain strong relationships with clinical partners
  • Manage program data collection, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications

  • Licensure: Current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a BVNPT-approved school required; Master's degree in nursing, education, or administration preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years as a Registered Nurse; at least one (1) year of teaching or clinical supervision in a state-approved nursing program (VN or RN), within the last five (5) years; or three (3) years in nursing administration or education within the last five (5) years

Compensation

This role offers a competitive salary range of $110,000-$125,000 annually, with final compensation determined based on education, experience, and internal equity considerations, including leadership experience in accredited nursing programs.
