About the role

The College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a strategic, collaborative, and student-focused Assistant Director for Recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development, implementation, and assessment of recruitment strategies, programs, and events for the College of Arts and Sciences.
• Serve as a representative of the College of Arts and Sciences to ensure enrollment goals are met while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
• Act as a primary resource for prospective students, families, counselors, community partners, and campus stakeholders interested in A&S programs and pathways.
• Develop and manage territory-specific recruitment plans informed by market research, enrollment trends, historical data, feeder school performance, application and yield metrics, and college and university enrollment priorities.
• Manage assigned geographic and/or programmatic recruitment territories for the College of Arts and Sciences.
• Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, community-based organizations, community colleges, academic departments, alumni partners, and other key influencers that support A&S enrollment goals.
• Travel extensively during key time periods (8 - 12 weeks in the fall and 3 - 6 weeks in the spring) and work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours as needed to effectively support both on-campus and off-campus recruitment efforts.
• Maintain and utilize information about prospective students, schools, organizations, and recruitment markets to advise, encourage, and support students from first inquiry through application, admission, and enrollment in A&S.
• Implement and clearly explain admissions policies, procedures, academic pathways, and program requirements, ensuring students and families understand opportunities within Arts and Sciences and the broader University of Cincinnati.

• Coordinate and manage one or more specialized programmatic areas that advance A&S recruitment goals, such as on-campus and off-campus events, student ambassador/tour guide programs, outreach and access initiatives, communications and marketing, transfer recruitment, community partnerships, counselor engagement, yield initiatives, or other assigned priorities.
• Establish project timelines, define deliverables, coordinate stakeholders, track progress, assess outcomes, and recommend improvements to ensure recruitment initiatives are completed on schedule and aligned with college and university priorities.
• Compile data required for internal and external reports and assessments. Generate reports, interpret and disseminate information, and provide recommendations to inform recruitment planning, territory management, communications, events, and yield strategy.
