Assistant Director of Student Recruitment
About the role
The Assistant Director of Student Recruitment is a full-time administrative faculty position designed to recruit and enroll associate, undergraduate, and graduate students. The position reports to the Director of Enrollment Management and works as a key member of Academic Programs in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Responsibilities
- Apply a strategic vision to lead recruiting and promotion initiatives to facilitate enrollment growth for incoming associate, undergraduate, and graduate students across the College.
- Coordinate and support events or student-facing programming.
- Build and maintain relationships with students and families through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Manage social media advertising strategies and monitor analytics to support enrollment goals.
- Supervise student interns and manage complex projects.
- Work independently without excessive supervision or follow-up, and occasionally work evenings and weekends.
- Travel as needed to support recruitment efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with equivalent experience.
- Experience in recruitment or admissions.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and support events or student-facing programming.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building with students and families.
- Knowledge of social media advertising strategies and management.
- Ability to supervise student interns.
- Experience in complex project management.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and the ability to travel occasionally.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in an applicable field.
- Experience with digital advertising and analytics.
- Experience with marketing and outreach via social media.
- Experience using a CRM (customer relationship management) system.
- Intermediate data analysis and Excel skills to support strategy development.
- Demonstrated skills in event planning and coordination.
Pay
$49,725 - $69,615 annually
Schedule
Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
