Job Summary

Under the leadership and direction of the Director for Career Services and Strategic Initiatives, this position oversees program assessment, reporting, forecasting and data mining and analysis in support of operations for the Steinbright Career Development Center.

About the Role

Serves as a member of Steinbright’s leadership team. Oversees program assessment, data analysis, and reporting on all operational audits including employment reports and annual data. Manages data requests for special projects and manages systems utilized by Steinbright including SCDConline, TimeTrade, AVT and RightNow.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Co-op program operations including cycle setting, job search activities and optimal pairing.
  • Manage data analysis and reporting on all operational audits including employment reports and annual data.
  • Oversee annual operations calendar.
  • Work with the Steinbright Leadership team to develop processes for new and changing policies and procedures for both co-op and career services.
  • Work with Co-op Leadership team to process annual freshman cycle setting and coordinator balancing.
  • Supervise and mentor Steinbright Data Analyst in completing all operational audits including but not limited to: student and employer cycle/round reporting, co-op participation audits and co-op cycle setting and balancing such as student co-op eligibility, online classes on co-op eligibility, holds preventing registration, academic dismissals, placement, pre-registration and employment, summary & planner, graduation clearance, co-op failures, data requests, and re-admit and transfer TPAR setting.
  • Oversee all aspects of Steinbright data collection and distribution including planning, review and reporting to ensure accuracy and a uniform message.
  • Manage data requests for special projects such as Steinbright's support of Middle States related data requests, the Steinbright Internal Audit currently underway, the implementation of Salesforce, and the conversion of Steinbright reports from Hyperion to OBIEE.
  • Develop and communicate trending information to academic departments to support curriculum review and accreditation efforts including Drexel PAR, ABET, AACSB, etc.
  • Manage systems utilized by Steinbright including SCDConline, TimeTrade, AVT and RightNow.
  • Consult with leadership on strategies and priorities to mitigate system and process challenges.
  • Collaborate with Academic Information Systems, Information Resources and Technology, and Core Enterprise Systems to lead development testing and implementation of system improvements.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of SCDConline functionality and utility based on student, employer, and staff feedback through direct recommendations and committee oversight.
  • Compile program data to analyze and report statistics related to Steinbright strategic goals, annual report, recruitment efforts, salary data, national/international co-op and job development and various initiatives to assist with strategic decisions.
  • Represent Steinbright in survey and assessment efforts maintained by other Drexel units, including Drexel Solutions Institute, the Office of Institutional Research (OPIR), academic units, etc. as required.
  • Work with OPIR in the development, execution, and data dissemination of the Senior Exit Survey and the Enrolled Student Survey.
  • Collaborate with staff to develop, review, and implement surveys and related summary reports in line with department and university standards.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with Drexel Central, Office of the University Registrar, and academic units in support of Steinbright and University operations.
  • Provide guidance to resolve student records and issues.
  • Provide guidance and training to Steinbright staff for all Steinbright systems as well as guide development, testing and implementation of system improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in business, information technology or related field or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in statistical analysis and database management or program assessment.
  • Minimum 2-3 years progressive experience in leading projects or teams with ability to supervise people with diverse backgrounds and skills.
  • Experience working with Oracle/Hyperion (OBIEE), Banner or related environment.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with statistical software/systems (SAS, SPSS, etc.) and relational database management a plus.
  • Strong planning, prioritizing, organizing, and strong attention to detail skills to simultaneously manage complex and multiple projects to meet reporting deadlines.
