Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Texas Association for Pupil Transportation (TAPT) Official or Administrator Certification preferred
- Working knowledge of pupil transportation principles
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Applicable Computer Skills (experience with TransFinder preferred)
- Class-B (or higher) CDL with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements (or ability to obtain)
- Texas School Bus Driver Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to pass annual Texas School Bus Driver physical exam
- Experience in supervisory/leadership roles in pupil transportation
- Prior experience as a school bus driver
- Alternative qualifications as found by the Board
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
- Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting
- Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching
- Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (15-45 pounds)
- Environment: Frequent districtwide travel
- Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress
