Assistant to the Director of Transportation

Qualification Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (HiSET)
• Must hold a school bus driver’s license with proper endorsements issued by the State of Maine
• Must have or be able to obtain a current fingerprint card issued by the Department of Education
• Must pass an annual school bus driver physical examination
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
• Show proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus
• Ability to drive in adverse conditions (wind, rain, snow, sleet)
• Ability to work with school staff, the public, students, and parents
• Proficient with basic administrative software including, but not limited to: Google drive, docs, sheets, etc.; Adobe; Microsoft word, excel, etc.
• Familiarity with Infinite Campus, ReachMyTeach, PickUp Patrol, TimeClock+, Swis Suite, and Traversa Bus routing software a plus

Pay

SALARY: $32-$35/hour

Benefits

Estimated: 8 hours/day, 190 days/year
