Assistant Director of Sports Science

About the role

The Assistant Director of Sport Science supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based performance programs for Division I student-athletes. This role integrates data from athlete monitoring systems, wearable technology, and performance testing to optimize performance, reduce injury risk, and inform return-to-play decisions.

Responsibilities

• Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Lift equipment, mail, or supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Collaborate with coaching staffs to inform decisions to increase competitive success across multiple teams.
• Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based performance programs for Division I student-athletes.
• Integrate data from athlete monitoring systems, wearable technology, and performance testing to optimize performance, reduce injury risk, and inform return-to-play decisions.
• Continue the high level of support and care for the Athletic Department.

Requirements

• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• May need to lift equipment, mail, or supplies up to 50 pounds.
• Essential in continuing the high level of support and care for our Athletic Department.
• Vital for the upcoming competitive seasons this fall semester.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Collegiate Athletics experience strongly preferred
