Overview

The ADO will assist in overseeing the overall functions of the 121 Operation. In the absence of the DO, the ADO will assist the Director of OCC or Chief Pilot as required.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

  • Aid the Director of Operations in the safe, compliant, and efficient management of all flight operations conducted under 14 CFR Part 121 and company rules and regulations.
  • Promptly report, file, and take follow-up actions on accidents and other required reports to the appropriate FAA agencies.
  • Monitor operational trends and proactively address compliance risks or process gaps requiring corrective action.
  • Support FAA audits, inspections, certificate management activities, and regulatory correspondence.
  • Participate in the development, revision, implementation, and oversight of operational manuals, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist the Director of Safety in monitoring, assisting, and coordinating with all flight operations safety audits, correcting findings and closing them in a timely manner.
  • Understand and actively participate in the Global X Airlines Safety Management System, remaining vigilant for hazards and associated safety risks, and reporting safety issues to supervisors.
  • Support hiring, training, performance management, and professional development initiatives within operational departments.
  • Lead special operational initiatives as assigned by the Director of Operations.
  • Aid with long-term operational planning including fleet growth, route expansion, staffing models, and operational scalability initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational reliability, on-time performance, resource utilization, and customer experience.
  • Assist with vendor management and operational contract oversight.
  • Promote and reinforce a proactive safety culture throughout flight operations.

Skills And Qualifications

  • FAA-issued Airline Transport pilot license which has never been suspended or revoked.
  • At least three years of 121 PIC experience.
  • Understanding and ability to write procedures in compliance with the regulations (FARs) and research FAA DRS 8900, Advisory Circulars (AC), and other FAA and DOT documents.
  • Basic math calculations ability.
  • Availability and flexibility to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effectiveness in high-pressure operational environments.
  • Cross-functional coordination, leadership, and team development, operational control, and irregular operations management.

Work Schedule

The ADO will work an office schedule primarily Monday to Friday. The ADO will work a minimum of days in the office during the week but not exceed 5 days a week. Serve as Duty officer for a seven-day period once a month. Must fly or complete line or training audits equivalent to 16 hours and/or a minimum 3 segments a month with a minimum of 3 landings to maintain currency and qualification.
