Assistant Director of Nursing (RN)

Responsibilities

  • Affords assistance in managing all levels of nursing staff to uphold standards of nursing practice, quality care, and treatments.
  • Takes a leading role in conducting regular facility rounds and monitoring resident status.
  • Maintains awareness of all resident clinical care issues.
  • Acts as a leader in observing and instructing clinical staff with resident care.
  • Aids the Director of Nursing (DNS) in the comprehensive training of nursing staff to support clinical services and meet competency levels.
  • Provides daily oversight of RN Supervisors, Charge Nurses, and Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs).

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in the State of CT, required.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Improvement processes, required.
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in Nursing (BSN, ADN, ADS), preferred.
  • Experience in a supervisory position in long-term care, preferred.
