Assistant Director of Nursing - Central Ohio Behavioral Healthcare (PN 20041622)

About the Role

Serves as the Assistant Nurse Executive in the organization and administration of the Nursing Department. This is an hourly position exempt from bargaining units, with a pay range of 16 on the E1 Exempt Pay Range Schedule.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the day-to-day operation of the Nursing Department.
• Assists the Nurse Executive in developing, implementing, and monitoring nursing policies and procedures, quality assurance programs, and performance improvement activities.
• Plans, directs, and evaluates nursing services for all units on all shifts at the facility.
• Conducts clinical reviews and investigations to assure appropriateness of patient care and services.
• Supervises nursing staff as assigned, including supervisory and management personnel.
• Maintains the Nursing Table of Organization and is responsible for the nursing retention program.
• Chairs, attends, and/or participates in meetings as assigned.

Requirements

• Current license as a registered professional nurse in the state of Ohio, issued by the Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of the Revised Code.
• 36 months of experience in psychiatric nursing or delivery of nursing services to persons with developmental disabilities.
• Completion of an undergraduate core program in nursing.
• 18 months of training or experience in supervision.
• 18 months of training or experience in management.
• 12 months of training or experience in counseling.
• 12 months of training or experience in public relations.

Equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment may be substituted for the experience requirements, but not for the mandated licensure.

Pay

$48.93 - $69.94 per hour. Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule, with an opportunity for a pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Flexible Schedule).
