About the role

Worland Health and Rehabilitation seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team. This individual will assist in the coordination, organization, implementation, evaluation, and direction of the nursing services department and its programs in accordance with current rules and regulations governing nursing care facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Unit Managers on each unit to ensure completion of assigned responsibilities and resolution of resident care issues.
  • Monitor and ensure recording of infections, analyze data, determine trends, and identify potential causes for infection control.
  • Collaborate with the Facility Educator to develop education and training programs as needed.
  • Participate in facility surveys conducted by authorized government agencies.
  • Assist in determining and monitoring staffing needs for the nursing department, ensuring adequate staffing levels for each shift to meet resident needs.
  • Assist in reviewing nursing services policies and procedures annually at a minimum.
  • Assist with interviewing and selecting Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants, with approval from the Director of Nursing and Administrator.
  • Complete yearly written evaluations of nurses and nurse aides.
  • Ensure medical and nursing care is administered in accordance with residents' wishes and individualized care plans.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of employment.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (required).
  • At least 1 year of Nurse Management experience (preferred).
  • Ability to work well in a team setting.
