About the role
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) will work alongside the Director of Nursing (DON) to coordinate and manage the delivery of nursing services in accordance with federal and state guidelines, ensuring the highest level of care for residents. This position reports to the DON and assists in supervising all direct care staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction to nursing department staff and develop team members
- Remove obstacles for the team and foster a culture of trust and appreciation
- Work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with other departments and medical professionals
- Monitor and oversee the nursing department to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Guide staffing procedures and set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Control budgets and monitor expenditures
- Resolve issues and deficiencies as needed
Requirements
- Active Nursing license in the State of Oklahoma (Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Supervisory experience preferred
