About the role

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at Brandon Wilde is responsible for overseeing the twenty-four-hour nursing care of all residents. This role requires maintaining a professional philosophy that aligns with the industry's standards and promoting the quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive relationship with government agencies and community health delivery systems.
  • Plan and implement innovative programs to meet resident needs.
  • Stays updated on current nursing practices through education relevant to geriatrics.
  • Act as interim/backup MDS Coordinator and Director of Nursing.
  • Participate in on-call schedule as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including corporate compliance and HIPAA Privacy Standards.
  • Participate in annual surveys and regulatory visits.
  • Assist Administrator with plan of corrections.
  • Complete weekly skin program and track for all residents.
  • Develop and maintain effective fall prevention and infection control programs.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Georgia RN license and BLS certification.
  • Experience working with the elderly.
  • At least one year of organizational or management experience supervising others.
  • Geriatric nursing experience.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Good judgment, common sense, and ability to respond to staff, clients, and others.
  • Good follow-up and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas and suggestions for quality and cost containment.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a preemployment screening process including a fitness for duty physical, criminal background check, drug test, and employment references.

Pay

$90,000 commensurate with experience

Schedule

Full Time, 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday- Friday (on call availability)
