Assistant Director of Nursing, ADON

About the Role

We are seeking a results-oriented Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee our Olathe, KS location. The ADON will exercise administrative and functional supervision over nursing personnel as directed by the Administrator, ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards.

Responsibilities

• Aids the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing department.
• Liaises with residents, families, and support departments to adequately plan for resident needs.
• Leads and supervises a team of nursing staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere within the nursing division.
• Teaches and leads by example across all shifts.
• Implements and interprets the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
• Ensures compliance with practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care facilities.
• Handles state reporting, develops, and implements plans of correction.
• Adheres to and enforces company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures.
• Displays integrity and professionalism in all aspects of the role.

Requirements

• Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing; must maintain an active RN license throughout employment.
• Supervisory experience in a long-term care setting.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead a team of nursing professionals.
• Knowledgeable of long-term care practices, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
