About the role
We are seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to assist the Director of Nursing in leading the clinical team in providing quality, patient-centered care to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the utmost quality and patient-centered care of residents
- Coordinate infection control
- Plan, organize, and implement training programs/in-services for clinical staff
- Assist with compliance and ensure effective communication with all levels of nursing staff
- Ensure adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of residents, including recruitment
- Oversee the process for competency evaluations and corrective action plans
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of NJ
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible nursing experience in a clinical setting (preferred)
- Three (3) years of supervisory experience in long-term care/sub-acute setting (preferred)
- One (1) year of infection control experience (preferred)
- Computer literate; experience with EMR preferred
- Completion of IP Course within 3-6 months of hire expected
