Responsibilities

• Assist with strategic and operational leadership, guidance, direction, and tactical expertise on food and beverage concepts
• Drive hotel profitability through high level revenue generation, expert cost control, and labor management capabilities
• Create and implement critical paths for all food and beverage operations
• Select, train, and develop key leadership personnel within the division and its departments
• Oversee divisional matters related to federal, state, and local employment and civil rights laws
• Resolve challenges and opportunities to the satisfaction of all involved parties
• Collaborate with the Sales, Public Relations, and Marketing teams to communicate offerings and innovations
• Interact positively with guests, associates, and the community
• Maintain food & beverage quality and service standards by visually monitoring and taking corrective action as needed
• Develop and support the development of all associates; participate in all associate recognition programs and serve the community
• Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needs

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of food and beverage management experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare and analyze data, figures, Microsoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Knowledge of food service techniques and cost controls such as labor, productivity, food cost and other expenses
• Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
• Luxury hotel experience, a plus

Physical Requirements

• Grasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending over
• Standing and exercising mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
• Pushing and pulling food serving equipment and carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi-regular basis

Pay

The pay scale for the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage position ranges from $127,133 to $152,559. The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and may include other factors, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.
