Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Assistant Director of Financial Aid provides financial aid assistance to Law School students, prospective students, and alumni.
Responsibilities
- Assists Law School students, prospective students, and alumni with all aspects of financing a legal education.
- Awards Fordham Law grants and loans and performs need analysis (FM and IM).
- Processes federal loan applications using internal systems.
- Administers named scholarships program, including data management, and assists with establishment of new scholarships.
- Conducts entrance/exit interviews.
- Coordinates and maintains web content.
- Assists with financial literacy education, office operations, and preparation/review of ad hoc documents.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 2 years of Student Financial Services experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide superior customer service experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Banner, PowerFAIDS, and ACES2.
- LSAC Unite proficiency.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace applications.
- Experience with Microsoft SharePoint (LawNet), including document management, content updates, and intranet administration.

Pay
Minimum starting salary: $66,555. Maximum starting salary: $80,000. Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and skills.
