Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support to the Director of Finance
  • Closely collaborate with key managers in the hotel
  • Maintain accounting standards within established policies and procedures
  • Analyze and disseminate key data to the hotel team in an understandable format
  • Create and manage excel documents for financial reporting
  • Support the annual and monthly budgeting process
  • Closely monitor financial results, focusing on revenue generation and expense control
  • Manage cash flow by effectively managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
  • Lead and mentor junior members of the accounting department

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance desired
  • Five to seven years of experience in hospitality/full-service hotel Accounting Department
  • One to three years of supervisory experience in a similar leadership role
  • Minimum of five years progressive accounting or finance experience
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and month-end closing
  • Strong computer expertise, including Microsoft Excel and hotel Point of Sales and Property Management Systems
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to communicate with the public and other employees
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
