Position Summary
The Assistant Director of Finance serves as a strategic business partner responsible for supporting the financial health and operational success of the Club. This position assists in directing all accounting and financial operations while ensuring accurate financial reporting, sound internal controls, regulatory compliance, and exceptional service to internal and external stakeholders.
Essential Functions
- Financial Leadership
- Assist in the daily leadership and management of all accounting and finance operations.
- Serve as acting finance leader in the absence of the Director of Finance.
- Promote collaboration and professional development within the Finance team.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review accurate daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support labor reporting, cost reporting, financial statements, and operational metrics.
- Support leadership with financial modeling, forecasting, and strategic analysis.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Aid in the preparation and monitoring of annual operating and capital budgets.
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard Club assets.
- Support all internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
- Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard Club assets.
- Support development and enforcement of financial policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operational Support
- Partner with department leaders to provide financial guidance and operational support.
- Research and resolve financial issues promptly.
- Maintain relationships with banking partners, auditors, vendors, and other financial service providers.
- Support implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Hospitality, resort, club, hotel, or real estate development experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing month-end close and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Experience with ERP or hospitality accounting systems preferred.

Work Schedule
This is a full-time exempt position. Schedule flexibility is required and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
Physical Requirements
- Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying: Regular walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and occasional lifting. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Physical Activity: Frequent sitting while performing computer-based work. Occasional bending, kneeling, walking throughout the Club and administrative offices.
- Ability to move between departments and facilities as needed.
