Assistant Director of Dining Services

About the role

As an Assistant Director of Dining Services I, you will assist with the day-to-day food service operations at a hospital in Covington, TN. This includes patient and retail dining services, as well as catering. You will manage and lead a team of associates, focusing on talent development, client relationships, profitability, and supporting financial goals in an assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Works with the Director, Chef, and management team to create nutritious and top-quality food.
• Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.
• Maintains excellent relationships with the client.
• Provides hands-on leadership, managing, training, and developing associates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3 years of food service management experience, preferably in healthcare, but will also consider backgrounds in hotels, corporate dining, education, military, or restaurants.
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or willingness to obtain a CDM in the first year of employment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial experience and business acumen.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree is preferred.
