Assistant Director of Capital Projects

About the role

The Department of Administration's Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM) is seeking an Assistant Director of Capital Projects to lead their statewide capital projects program.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of complex construction projects — on time and on budget
• Drive quality assurance and strategic master planning across statewide capital projects
• Lead and supervise project management teams
• Manage capital development and building improvement budgets
• Advise senior state officials on major infrastructure initiatives
• Champion a culture of innovation, efficiency, and top-tier customer service

Requirements

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• Considerable experience managing large, complex construction or development projects
• Proven supervisory experience in a related field
• Strong communication and knowledge of public administration, budgeting, and building design/construction
