Job Summary

The Department of Biology in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University seeks an individual to ensure the functionality and safety of the teaching laboratories.

About the Role

The Department of Biology includes the ONU Nature Areas: the Metzger Nature Center (78 acres) and the Tidd-Oakes Farm (350 acres).

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for laboratory courses
• Order supplies, equipment, and resources needed for laboratory courses
• Maintain laboratory rooms and storage facilities
• Enforce safety policies and procedures
• Hire, train, and supervise student workers
• Collaborate with faculty to coordinate lecture and laboratory activities, design laboratory assignments, edit lab manuals and syllabi
• Attend department meetings
• Other duties may be assigned, including to provide assistance to the ONU Nature Areas
