About the role

The Assistant Director of Admission and Financial Aid plays a crucial role in supporting the university’s mission by overseeing the admission and financial aid processes. This individual is responsible for ensuring that all applications are processed efficiently and accurately, and that students receive timely and appropriate financial support.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire admission process including recruitment, evaluation, and decision-making.
  • Manage the financial aid program, including budgeting, awarding, and managing student loans and grants.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement policies related to admissions and financial aid.
  • Provide guidance and support to students and families regarding financial aid options and processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with high school counselors and community partners to enhance outreach efforts.
  • Conduct regular reviews of financial aid data to ensure compliance with federal and institutional regulations.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in higher education administration, preferably in admissions and/or financial aid.
  • Proven ability to manage complex financial aid programs and budgets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
  • Experience working with databases and software for financial aid management.
  • Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Passion for higher education and a commitment to equity and access.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule
