Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full corporate accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, journal entries, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Oversee intercompany accounting activities, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and eliminations across affiliated entities
  • Lead end-to-end payroll processing through Paylocity for approximately 60 employees, including both exempt and non-exempt populations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
  • Support and drive the corporate budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and management reporting for leadership
  • Manage project accounting for self-performed tenant improvement and capital improvement work, including cost tracking, reporting, and coordination with operational stakeholders
  • Oversee billing and revenue tracking for leased membership and event space
  • Identify and implement systems enhancements, workflow improvements, and scalable accounting processes across multiple business segments
  • Parenth cross-functionally with leadership and operating teams to improve financial visibility, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong preference for candidates who have worked in multi-entity, corporate accounting environments
  • Demonstrated experience administering payroll, with a solid understanding of payroll processes, controls, and compliance requirements
  • Experience working in Yardi strongly preferred
  • Prior exposure to construction or project accounting, including job costing, budget-to-actual analysis, and cost tracking, is a significant plus
  • Commercial real estate industry experience is helpful, but not required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess financial data, draw independent conclusions, and make sound judgment calls
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, organization, and follow-through
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels of the organization
