About the role
The Assistant Director, Warren Towers is a full-time live-in professional responsible for leading the day-to-day administration of a residential neighborhood, fostering a campus environment that supports academic achievement, student development, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day administration of the Warren Towers community.
- Provide clear direction, support, and guidance to Community Directors regarding departmental expectations, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain availability to neighborhood staff and students during business hours.
- Intervene in crises and manage urgent situations; collaborate with a broad range of University officials in assisting students with the student life issues they face.
- Serve on-call for all residences as part of the Residence Life administrator on-call rotation.
- Chair a departmental committee and assume responsibility for assignments that relate to administration of the residential program at both the University-wide and area levels.
- Serve as a University conduct officer and coordinate all conduct activity within the Warren Towers community.
- Create a strong team among professionals, administrative staff, faculty-in-residence, graduate resident assistants, resident assistants, and work-study staff.
- Lead initiatives to promote learning in the living centers, including the Neighborhood Hall Council, specialty communities, and the faculty-in-residence.
Qualifications
